Of late, I began thinking with increasing frequency of the books I most enjoyed and those that greatly influenced me. I have wondered what I would think about them now. I began to make lists, mostly to assess that old landscape but more to see what I might reread and with what priority. Whether that was to be by chronology or import, I never could decide. Instead I let an unfathomed appeal take charge of me and my choices.
I did decide that I would explore these books in whatever way and at whatever length ran its course. And so I began.
I list the titles, alphabeticaly with notice of the month and year I have spent with them.
